Our family are the proud owners of the WSU Spring Family Arts and Crafts Fair in April and the Fall Vintage & Handmade Fair in October every year. Our fairs are located in Beasley Coliseum on the WSU campus in Pullman, WA. The exhibits are set up in the concourse of the Coliseum.
We are amazed to look back and realize that we have been putting on fairs for 33 years, near as we can figure! Daughter Ginger grew up in the fairs and Granddaughter Sammy also has grown up with the fairs. We started with a Christmas fair in the Pullman National Guard Amory. The lights in the gym went off every hour and plunged us into total darkness! The closest vendor was assigned to reset the lights! Just one of the many fun things with that facility!
Then, we moved onto campus to the Congregational church in the basement on the WSU Mom’s Weekend. We had room for 33 vendors and Don cooked burgers and stuff in the kitchen to sell. The weather was bad, there was an “active shooter” on campus in the early morning hours near the church. We were mobbed with shoppers!
We came out of that fair and said “we need to find another location on campus”. Beasley Coliseum has been our home for both fairs ever since!
